Occasion Cakes

Brief for this salted caramel cake was pastel pink with lots of things to pick off. So we really went for it. Cake popsicle, cake pops, meringues, macaroons, chocolate hearts, coconut chocolate, chocolate shards. And if you see one of the previous pics, the Birthday lady looks pretty pleased!

A grey ombre effect cake, so concrete looking in its appearance, yet so feminine. 4 layers of vanilla and passion fruit, with passion fruit curd.

You’ve asked and I’ve listened, and now for the first time, I’ll be running workshops in very small groups to teach the skills required to decorate the cake above (how to cut, fill and level sponges, making optimal textured decorating buttercream, creating cakes with sharp edges, creating drips, buttercream peaks, attaching embellishments to the cake). Additionally, you’ll be given the recipe for baking our signature chocolate cake to take home.

I was given free rein to make a cake for a friend from way back whose son turned 18. All the shapes are made of white chocolate and the large sphere with holes has another chocolate red sphere inside. I hope the birthday boy likes the cake as much as I do!

Rose and pistachio cake for a dear friends 40th! I adore cakes with stencil work on them. It’s pretty scary doing it on a cake you’ve tried to make look perfect because you only get one go. Get it wrong and the cake is ruined! Rose and pistachio!
