Cupcake Buttercream Proficiency

We’ve heard from many of you that you’d like to be able to use the different buttercream nozzles you have to greater effect.

We’ll work with the most popular nozzles and teach you how to use them to eye-catching effect.


You’ll leave with a box of six cupcakes that you’ve decorated as well as recipes for delicious vanilla cupcakes and buttercream.

Fee: £50 per person (minimum of two participants required to book a workshop)

Cake buttercream proficiency

In this class you will be provided with a pre-baked and cooled vanilla sponge cake which we’ll teach you to level and stack.

You will learn how to:

  • make our delicious and perfectly smooth and buttercream, in a flavour of your choice.
  • apply buttercream smoothly on to your cake
  • add a watercolour style finish to the cake
  • make and finish a drip
  • make chocolate shards

We will be provide you with an apron, all the necessary tools for the course.

At the end of workshop, you will be able to take away printed recipes for the buttercream, chocolate drip as well as the cake you’ve decorated to take home in a box. Please bring a large (12 inch) wide-based and sturdy bag if you are not taking your cake home by car.

Showstopper Cake Masterclass

on this masterclass you’ll learn to create a stunning showstopper cake in a colour scheme of your choice.

Under our expert guidance you’ll learn how to:

  • bake our signature vanilla sponge cake recipe
  • Pair it with one of our delicious fillings
  • level and stack cake sponges
  • make a delicious and smooth buttercream.
  • apply buttercream smoothly onto a cake
  • add a watercolour style finish to the cake
  • deal with any imperfections
  • add a drip effect
  • make chocolate shards as cake embellishments

Everything you need will be provided including an apron, all the necessary tools and the recipe and cake box to take your cake home in.

There will be a short break for you to grab lunch either your own or purchase from the many outlets moments away from our bakery.

Please bring a large (12 inch) wide-based sturdy bag if you are not taking your cake home in a car.
