About us

Founder, Mehvish started out from her tiny cottage kitchen in 2015, into a dedicated garage workshop in her next home in 2017 and outgrowing that to move into a bakery open to the public in 2019. Along the way, we’ve built a great local team and been joined by Lydia and Ellie.

“Cakes Made With Love” isn’t a meaningless strapline for us, it goes to the heart of why we’ve earned such loyal and devoted followers. We really do care about your special occasions every bit as much as we would our own.

We won’t bake anything we wouldn’t serve to our families, that’s why there are never preservatives in any of our cakes, all our ingredients are visible to anyone visiting our bakery and everything is baked onsite by one of our small team.

We’re hyper-local, we’ve recruited locally as we all live in the area and support local groups to improve our locality and support local businesses by buying as much as we can from them including our major ingredients of Flour, Sugar and Butter from a local baker’s merchants less than 5 miles away. Our cake toppers are bespoke made by an local artist whose portfolio includes artwork depicts children of colour to promote self-esteem. We’re passionate about helping out locally and regularly donate to local charities and school fundraising efforts.
